Allison Cara Tolman was born in the US. She is best known for her performance as Molly Solverson in the first season of the FX the television show Fargo. It earned her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Tolman was raised with three older siblings and one younger. Her family relocated to England at the age of couple of months old, and she stayed until she was four years old. Prior to making the move to Sugar Land in Texas, she lived for five years in Oklahoma as well as West Texas. The Fort Bend Community Theatre started its acting classes when she turned 10 years young. Tolman was a star in ABC's drama series Emergence which debuted on September 24, 2019. It was cancelled on May 21, 2020, after only one season, despite "pretty strong" numbers, as per Tolman. She was also a guest star on the NBC show Good Girls. In 2021, she acted as Alma Filcott on the second season of Why Women Kill and Natalie Green, The Facts of Life, of Live in Front of a Studio Audience the third edition.
