Alison Wonderland (born Alexandra Margo Sholler) is a DJ and electronic dance music producer as well as a producer in Australia. Allison Cara Tolman was born in the US. She is best known for her performance as Molly Solverson in the first season of the FX the television show Fargo. It earned her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Tolman was raised with three older siblings and one younger. Her family relocated to England at the age of couple of months old, and she stayed until she was four years old. Prior to making the move to Sugar Land in Texas, she lived for five years in Oklahoma as well as West Texas. The Fort Bend Community Theatre started its acting classes when she turned 10 years young. Clements High School is where she was a student and she graduated in 2000. Baylor University has awarded her with a bachelor degree in fine arts in dramatic performance. She moved to Dallas after college and was one of Second Thought Theatre's first members. After that, she relocated to Chicago in 2009, where she attended The Second City Training Center for acting classes. Tolman began her career in Fargo, a black-comedy crime-drama on FX. The show was inspired by Fargo, a 1996 Coen brothers film of the same title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman as well as Bob Odenkirk. Tolman was recognized for her performance as Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair stated that Tolman "calmly, assuredly stole" the show. Tolman was praised for her character. She won the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Ministry/Movie and received Best Actress nominations at the Emmy Awards and for the Golden Globes. In the same year it was revealed that Tolman will have a guest role on the Mindy Project on the show as Abby Berman who is a romantic author. In 2015, Tolman was as a character supporting Michael Dougherty's comedy-horror film Krampus. Tolman's breakthrough role in the film as Fargo was the reason she decided to leave numerous supporting roles, including the roles of mothers, best friends and wives. Tolman was searching for more unconventional roles. In the year 2017, Tolman starred in ABC's Downward Dog, based on the Animal Media Group web series which was cancelled after one season. Tolman was a star in ABC's drama series Emergence which debuted on September 24, 2019. It was cancelled on May 21, 2020, after only one season, despite "pretty strong" numbers, as per Tolman. She was also a guest star on the NBC show Good Girls. In 2021, she acted as Alma Filcott on the second season of Why Women Kill and Natalie Green, The Facts of Life, of Live in Front of a Studio Audience the third edition.
